We respect the privacy of users of the music diary application "Muse" (the "App") and are committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

We collect personal information in the App in the following cases:
- When downloading and installing the App
- When registering an account (including email, Spotify, or Apple ID login)
- When linking with third-party services (Spotify, Apple)
- When making in-app purchases

The App collects the following personal information:
- Device identifiers (IDFA, Android ID, etc.)
- Device information (OS, model, language settings, etc.)

- In-app purchase history
- Third-party authentication services:
- Spotify: Username, profile information, music playback history
- Apple ID: Username, email address, profile information
3. Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Location: For location-based services (registering diary location)
- Camera & Microphone: For media upload and photo capture functions
- Storage: For local caching and data saving
- Notifications: For sending push notifications and recording reminders
These permissions can be toggled on or off at any time from your device's settings screen.

- Google AdMob (Ad Delivery Services)
5-1. Third-Party Authentication Services
Spotify Integration:
- Log in functionality using a Spotify account
- Retrieving music playback history (for personalization)
- Synchronizing playlist information
- Analyzing favorite tracks
Apple ID Integration:
- Log in functionality using Apple ID
- Retrieving basic profile information
- Support for email address anonymization options
- Apple Music integration (where applicable)
6. Data Storage and Deletion
Personal information is stored only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use and is promptly deleted when no longer needed.
Even if you delete (uninstall) the App, some data may remain on our servers. If you wish for complete deletion, please request it through the following methods:
- Apply via "Settings" → "Delete Account" in the App
- Send a deletion request to support email (info@musesns.com)
7. Data Retention Period
- Account Info: Until account deletion
- App Usage History: 2 years from last usage
- Push Notification Token: Until App uninstallation
- Purchase History: Statutory retention period (7 years)
- Analytics Data: Stored for statistical purposes after anonymization
- Spotify Linked Data / Apple ID Linked Data: Promptly deleted upon disconnecting integration
8. Advertising and Data Collection
The App utilizes "Google AdMob" provided by Google LLC for displaying and optimizing advertisements. Google AdMob may automatically collect and transmit information such as device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android, etc.), IP addresses, and in-app action history to display personalized ads and measure effectiveness.
If you do not want personalized ads or wish to prevent tracking, you can configure your opt-out settings:
- iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device, and toggle tracking off for specific apps.
- Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads on your device, and select "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID".
- In-App: You can also toggle tracking via Settings > Privacy > Ad Settings inside the App.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
10. User Rights
Users have the rights of access, rectification, erasure (to be forgotten), restriction of processing, and consent withdrawal regarding their personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the in-app contact form or the email address below.
11. Privacy Settings
Users can control permissions, notifications, ad personalization, and external service integrations (Spotify/Apple Music) from the App settings screen.
12. Legal Compliance
We handle personal information in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) in Japan, GDPR in Europe, CCPA in the US, and COPPA for children.
13. International Data Transfers
Personal information may be processed and stored globally (Japan, US, EU) with appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
